video response
In the first video I watched, Aesthetics Philosophy of Arts, I learned several new things. I wasn't aware of famous pholosophers writing books of interpretation of art. I learned that Plato had very low opinions of artists. He wrote a book called the republic that basically said that artist copy reality. That they are mearly only making a copy of a copy. I learned that Arisotle felt different. He believed that peots were artists becuase they had to create things because they weren't possible know how they are. I learned that over time art evolved, it used to be in the middle ages just mearily reading and not asthetics. The first video taught me that art is an expression of emotion. The other video, Neurology taught me several things as well. I wasn't aware that true art should not be realistic to attract people but rather be aesthetically pleasing. This means that the art should apeal to the eye and exxagerate, distort and even alter to produce and image that people will like. I also learned that there are eight laws of art that one must follow to achieve something that is aesthetically pleasing. I did however remember learning this in a highschool art class before but the video went much more in depth
